Overview
As AssistIQ continued to grow, leadership needed better visibility into team workload and resource allocation. I developed a set of planning tools that helped monitor team capacity, balance responsibilities, and support more effective operational planning.
The Challenge
Without a structured view of team workload, it was difficult to understand who had capacity, where resources were stretched, and how work should be distributed. This increased the risk of uneven workloads and made planning future initiatives more challenging.
My Approach
I created practical planning tools that provided a clear overview of team workload, resource allocation, and capacity. Together, these tools helped leadership make more informed decisions about prioritization, workload distribution, and operational planning.

The capacity planning framework consisted of three operational tools that supported workload visibility and resource planning.
Team Workload Planner
Provided a clear overview of each team member's responsibilities, current workload, and available capacity to support balanced task distribution.
Resource Allocation Board
Mapped projects against available team resources, helping leadership assign work more effectively and identify potential resource constraints.
Capacity Review Summary
Summarized key workload insights, resource observations, and recommended actions to improve planning and maintain a sustainable workload across the team.
Outcome
The planning framework gave leadership greater visibility into team capacity and resource allocation. Workloads became easier to monitor, planning became more proactive, and operational decisions could be made with a clearer understanding of available resources and priorities.
